German Forest Service Office

Just when you thought German Forest Service offices were plain and ugly (I know I had that impression), they have to go and make a great looking space out of a historic building.

The office is covered with many varieties of wood, just what you would/wouldn’t expect depending on your interpretation of what exactly a (de)forestry office is. Regardless, they evened out the wood usage with a low book usage, meaning less paper, meaning less trees.

All that said, the space looks wonderful with its bright white walls, circular light fixtures, and of course the great conference room complete with huge barn doors letting in a lot of natural light.
