  • Last month, a new coworking space opened up in Manhattan called General Assembly. The office is meant to be different from your average coworking space. Here is a description:

“As with traditional campuses, we believe that a learning environment can be a defining element of the user experience. To this end, we’ve designed General Assembly to be a mixed-use space designed to provide entrepreneurs with a range of contexts suitable for realizing their ideas — whether they require privacy, team-based collaboration, or an open exchange with fellow members.”

General Assembly’s space was outfitted with the latest and greatest from Vitra, one of the premier furniture design companies around today. The office floorplan is very open with a large supply of natural light. The campus also “…boasts an event space that holds up to 200, a classroom that seats 35 and several 15-person seminar rooms. Our communal space offers a central gathering place, while the library functions as a sanctuary for those wishing to research or code.”
