You’ve probably heard of Quicken, the personal finance software. And you probably thought that Quicken Loans is related to it. I know I did. It turns out it was, but it isn’t. Long story short, Intuit (makers of Quicken) bought Quicken Loans 1999 when it was called Rock Financial Corporation. They renamed it Quicken Loans, but sold it back to the founder at a huge loss in 2002. They didn’t change the name again, so here we are with Quicken Loans. Lucky for us, they have a nice office that we have pictures of.
The office, located in Detroit, Michigan, is really very inviting. It’s colorful and quite whimsical. Case in point: the turtle painted on the kitchen floor. It’s got flames and speed lines, which means it’s fast. A fast turtle? Whooda thunk it.
