Hunch is a recommendation startup based in NYC (other NYC companies) that was recently acquired by ebay (some ebay office pics here).  The office has the classic startup vibe, with small workstations, barebones furniture, and employee furnished wall-art.

While it might not be extravagant like yesterday’s Google space, the company had a good enough product and team to be successful. So while some companies might spend hugh sums on office spaces, that doesn’t necessarily correlate to success.
