A Few Shots From the Offices of Ray and Charles Eames
A couple months ago, I was watching a documentary called Ray and Charles Eames: The Architect and The Painter, which follows the lives of one of the most prolific design teams of the twentieth century. The output from their firm, whether it be furniture, films, architecture, or exhibition design was well ahead of its time.
During the film, I was obviously drawn to video and stills of the office space of the Eames design team. Because of the radical nature of their work, it is interesting to note the style of their workplace and wonder how it too differs from other contemporary offices.
These are the best images I could come up with. Though, I did come across a file at the National Archives whose description sounded like a Eames office photo jackpot.
Unfortunately for us, it isn’t digitized and you have to view the images in person.
