  • Interior design and architecture firm dwp was brought in to design the new Astra Zeneca Bangkok head office.  As a part of the project, AstraZeneca was interested in creating a highly branded space that incorporated a key corporate tenet, “Health Connecting Us All”.

The space was also designed to be a “healthy surrounding, that fosters better communication, connectivity, creativity and a sense of community and pride.”

dwp notes that “Strong branding was essential, and was partially achieved using the key Astra colours of purple, yellow and violet, set against a white organic backdrop.”

The lobby has an excellent modern feeling using sharp lines, bright lights, and the color scheme mentioned above. The view of the city and natural light is also a wonderful addition.

The brand was extended to the open-plan office space, where a hub of hotdesk-ready computers that were shaped as a large A and Z. Added throughout are sofas, coffee tables, and stools that offer a more casual, collaborative space within the general work area – a clever touch indeed.

In addition, “A sense of community was achieved by providing a large breakout space, the business centre for visitors and staff, in the heart of the office at the reception hall, with the boardroom just adjacent, opening up with large, flexible swivel doors. Angular aluminum door frames added whimsy and 120° white desks gave an organic feel, while yellow pedestals mimicked the brand, complimented by custom graphic walls, in organic angular lighted backdrops, and full-height interior billboard signage.”
