Inoui Design Collective has a well-designed studio space located in Victoria, BC. Designed by Kyla Bidgood Interior Design (of recent office MediaCore) and Amber Kingnorth (now designing with MãK Interiors), the office was a winner of the IDIBC Award of Excellence in 2011.

Kyla shares of the studio’s design:

“Starting with a 600sf bare bones heritage space, we sought to create a clean, functional work space that would inspire our clients, and showcase our aesthetic. We kept the built elements fairly neutral, and played up color with bold patterns, and vintage accents. Through carefully thought out details and calculated use of color, we proved that smart design doesn’t have to come with a hefty price tag.”

Amber adds additional detail of the space:

“We managed to create a fully functional office space complete with meeting space, kitchen, private bath, a sample library and work space for up to six staff through efficient space planning and use of the vertical space available.   Did we mention there was also a tight budget?  Creativity with finishes and features including stair risers made with vintage meter sticks, retro dining chairs for office seating and art work made from old house plans, helped stretch the dollars while achieving a fresh, sophisticated, and inspiring space to work.”
