3M Australia’s Creatively Branded Headquarters
3M Australia recently moved into a new headquarters located in North Ryde. We’ve definitely seen an increase in the number of projects leveraging creativity and graphics into projects in the last couple of years, and this project is a great example. The new space features original graphics by identity and branding firm THERE.
“The new 8,500sqm Australian HQ for global innovation giant 3M, required an extensive branded environment that celebrated their storied history of landmark innovations as well as capturing the 3M brand essence ‘Harnessing the chain reaction of new ideas’.
Large scale illustrations and graphically treated portraits pay homage to key inventors and innovators from 3M’s past, while the company’s rich heritage is further celebrated with an unconventional and visually impressive timeline, welcoming visitors to the Australian headquarters and showcasing the company’s brand evolution over the last hundred years.
THERE developed a unique pattern for each of the five floors that then informed interpretive graphics used at large and small scale for various zones and helped create a strong spatial and transitional experience.”
