  • Design Cosmos has completed the design of a new office for Tulip Infratech, a real estate development firm, based in Gurgaon, India. The office is divided up over 4 floors and spans some 25800 square feet.

Sales & Marketing: Since this floor is where clients walk-in; brand building was woven in all design aspects. The design aims high on both; functionality and aesthetics. Warm hues of flooring, wall and ceiling finishes add to the welcoming character that the entrance of a real estate corporate office deems to have. The four storeys high feature wall in atrium, finished in Italian stone and brown mirror, is a statement in itself and lends an intimidating yet convivial character to the space. Glass partitions between cabins have been used to make spaces look large and transparency help make walk-in clients feel at ease and imbibe confidence in the brand.

Work Floor: Highly efficient space planning was required for this floor to achieve the desired no. of manager cabins and work stations. Open desking system is used to make the space interactive and spacious. Monochromatic tones of white and grey have been used in ceiling, flooring, walls & furniture with clear glass for partitions between cabins to avoid visual obstruction. Orange colour represents enthusiasm, motivation, energy and balance and has been used modestly at various places like chair back, meeting table top and glass paneling.

Directors Floor: Comfort, luxury & Sophistication personified.! Warm tones in materials have been used to make the space welcoming. As the directors spend most part of their day in office, comfort was given supreme importance while designing and detailing this floor. Alternate panels of wooden finish and brown tinted glass define the passage and camouflage doors. Passage has ceiling suspended tinted glass strips in procession to bind this transition space together. On one hand where black represents power, sophistication, elegance and style, Gold represents wealth and strength; CMD’s cabin has been done up in tones of black and gold to represent what the colours symbolize. Each director’s persona reflects in the design of their office, making it an extension of them selves.

Cafeteria: Taking a cue from nature, where most of the things are not linear, a spatial twist was added to the café through seating arrangement, flooring pattern, ceiling members etc. All this adds to the informal character of the place where none was forced to either walk or sit in a straight line, resulting in automatic relaxation of the mind. All materials / elements that have been used are not only cost-effective and allow for fast execution but are easy to maintain too; a very important factor to achieve true cost-effectiveness of the project.
