  • Creston is a communications firm based in London that has recently moved into a new space designed by Oktra.

Formed in early 2001 as a communications firm to take on larger brands, Creston has grown to become a powerful creative communications, research and branding group. Quick to exploit the explosion in digital communication, Creston’s hallmark throughout its divisions has been a combination of agility, insight and creativity.

Creston House at 10 Great Pulteney Street is now the head office and, following our complete refit and redesign, home to a number of Creston’s core companies. The initial work, a strip-out of the existing fit-out, was straightforward; the redesign, more of a challenge. Creston wanted a space with personality – ‘quirky but not too quirky’. The companies – Fever, ICM Direct, TMW, Nelson Bostock and Things With Wings – work independently and collaboratively, so a logical and practical flow throughout the six floors was as important as designing spaces where creativity would bloom.

Driving business performance through collaboration, integration and communication was our brief, so the space creates opportunities for all staff to come together through team working and chance meetings. A breakout space, games area and terrace are the main focal points, with a connecting lift and staircase linking and leading staff through the different divisions.

Creativity and fun also needed to define the working environment. The floors have been stripped back and injected with colour and soft furnishings. It is professional yet relaxed, bold and vivid yet reflective and sensitive; the ideal creative hub.
