Veen Media’s Amsterdam Offices
Heyligers D+P has designed a bright and open office environment for Veen Media located in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
The architecture and character of the building blend perfectly with the aspirations and wishes of the publisher. In just ten weeks did Heyligers D + P transform an area based on openness, meet and overview. deepening The project was realized within this ambitious schedule and a small budget.
In previous housing the various editors of the eight titles Veen Media were each in its own newsroom. These areas were connected by corridors, but overview and meetings were not sporadically. The design for the new housing was therefore based on openness, meeting and clarity. The editors have assembled in an open office environment. For external editors, columnists and freelancers are flexible workplaces to workbenches and a large work table present. The kitchen has been realized as a large open space with large tables. It acts as a lunch room space, but there is plenty of room for dinners.
