KINZO Berlin’s Flexible Office Pilot

KINZO Berlin has created an interesting office pilot project for testing out flexible environments. As you can see from the images, the project puts everything within a few steps of work areas, but still offers private retreats and collaborative space.

“Communicative office structures are a hot topic and on everyone’s agenda. In the average office, however, any individual personalisation or adjustment tends to be confined to colour schemes or repositioning of standard office furniture. Moving beyond these obvious constraints, a large international management consultancy asked KINZO to come up with a new, tailor-made office world. Shaped by the consultants’ unique – and uniquely flexible – ‘office day’ and their exceptional needs for both quiet retreats and free-flowing communications, the resulting visual and architectural language hints at the future space.

As part of a first step, a pilot project and prototype allows prospective users to try out and experience the new environment. In close collaboration with the client, KINZO designed – and constructed – six prototype office modules. Available for testing by the users, these also allow for instant feedback via a dedicated evaluation app running on the integrated iPad. “
