Jumbo’s Schiedam Offices
Jumbo is a Dutch company that specializes in heavy marine transport with its new head quarters in Schiedam. The building was designed by MVSA Architects. Ahrend provided the office furniture, including outdoor furniture.
There were three elements to Jumbo’s commission for MVSA Architects: design a building that fits with our organisation, characterises our relationship with water and ensures synergy and openness.
Maarten Nijman, Jumbo project leader, on the end result: “The office furnishing is beautiful and functional. Compared to our previous office, comfort has been increased at every level: in terms of ergonomics, aesthetics, acoustics, air-conditioning system and facility services.”
