  • Featherstone Consultants designed a new office space in Clerkenwell for Beats, the consumer electronics company recently purchased by Apple. The furniture fit-out was completed by K2 Space.

K2 Space provided office furniture for the Beats London office in Clerkenwell. Beats was founded in 2008 by renowned artist and producer Dr. Dre and record mogul Jimmy Iovine. They specialise in consumer headphones, earphones and speakers, music streaming and audio software.

The office is home to about 20 Beats employees who are responsible for sales, marketing and PR as the company looks to grow its revenue in the UK and Europe.

Beats chose contemporary office furniture from Vitra and the project included the provision of all desks and chairs and furniture for the office reception, meeting rooms, kitchen and break-out areas.

An industrial interior is achieved through the exposed brick and metal, combined with the wooden flooring, which runs throughout the office. Contrasts are achieved through the minimalist white workbenches which complement the black tables and red seating in the meeting rooms and the kitchen.

Unsurprisingly, the iconic Beats logo is in evidence on the wall in the reception area. The reception has ceiling suspended lighting and white wall display, creating a bright, airy entrance and plenty of products for visitors to play with.
