Axiom Law’s New York City Offices
BHDM Design has designed a new office space for Axiom Law located in New York City’s historic Puck Building.
Dan Mazzarini & Brian Humphrey of BHDM Design took their cue from Axiom Law’s energetic non-traditional brand personality, and turned an empty white loft in the historic Puck Building, into a colorful, imaginative, modern working environment, equipped with conference rooms with glass and metal curtain walls, “living rooms” for larger meetings featuring bleacher-style seating, and quirky and whimsical features including an open layout cafe-style kitchen.
Core conference rooms and team rooms were pushed to the perimeter, and clad with custom metal and glass curtain walls. “Living Rooms” provide public spaces for break out and larger group meetings. Custom desks and pedestal files were installed in the middle of the office, maximizing team interaction and taking advantage of the skylights above. Furnishings are quirky and whimsical, building on an eclectic vocabulary of mid-century, contemporary, reclaimed and found pieces. BHDM created custom graphics for textiles throughout, including an ombre shark cuff on draperies, and a stylized map of the Soho area for over scaled skylight shades.
