Yoyo Design – Tunbridge Wells Offices
Creative agency Yoyo Design has recently moved into a large new office space, designed by their Creative Director, Gregg Lawrence.
Yoyo are an award-winning creative agency based in Kent who create tailored solutions to digital problems and have a wide range of clients such as M&S, The Open University and Freesat. Over the last few years the agency has grown rapidly with new staff and a rise in new clients too, and the agency needed a bigger space to work in.
The vision for the new space was something modern, creative and vibrant. It is important for to work in a space that allows people to think creatively and freely, to get the best results. Another important aspect was to bring the whole team together, and provide places for the team to be sociable and playful too. Due to the nature of the business it was important to have spaces to work in as a team, conferences, meetings, and technology stations. When the office space was first found it was still a building site, but Gregg immediately saw the potential of creating the industrial look we required. It took around 6 months for the office to be designed and all focus was on creating a space for the staff to be creative and playful in.
The office has some interesting key features such as the industrial ceiling and lights to portray the fresh and modern values of the agency. There is a large reception desk what can be seen on the entrance to show the branding of the agency for all new visitors. The colour scheme is black and white to go with the Yoyo branding, but with some added colour to keep the place vibrant in the form of a red sofa, and some multi coloured chairs for the boardroom. All meeting rooms are glass providing an open space for the team to work in.
Most exciting though, is the ‘Chalkboard’ wall that is free for everyone to write on. All staff members are encouraged to draw on it, with anything from fun doodles, quotes and posted, but also for internal communications such as news and events.
Currently, the agency has 13 staff but the new office space allows the agency to grow. Yoyo has acquired some excellent new clients and the office is perfect to reflect our professional work.
