Crossover Near-Site Wellness Center – Mountain View
DES Architects + Engineers have developed the new wellness facility Crossover Near-Site Wellness Center located in Mountain View, California.
Adjacent to major corporate campuses, the Crossover Nearsite Center provides next-generation health care for patients of participating tech companies including Microsoft and Intuit. It provides a new type of amenity for tech employees, making it easy to see a doctor or meet with a physical therapist during a lunch break. The soothing space, from the exam rooms to the massage rooms, takes a holistic approach that treats ailments while nourishing the body and mind.
Upon arrival, patients experience a soothing environment with soft, neutral colors and natural textures. With no waiting rooms, patients are promptly shown to exam rooms through comfortable, private corridors thanks to the bifurcated floor plan that separates patient and provider flow. To provide a higher level of care, a central nurses station drives teamwork and provides direct backdoor access to the exam rooms. All together, the Nearsite Center dismisses a conventional health care approach in favor of personnel wellness — aiming to inspire a new generation to work hard, play hard, and live better.
