Prothena Biosciences Offices – Dublin
Think Contemporary has designed the new offices of biotechnology company Prothena Biosciences located in Dublin, Ireland.
Prothena is a late stage clinical biotechnology company which focuses on the discovery and development of proteins for the potential treatment of diseases that involve amyloid or cell adhesion. Having established themselves in San Francisco, they decided to open an additional office in Dublin, Ireland.
The fundamental decision during this process involved locating the open plan workspace in the core of the building. Having the workspace located at the centre of the design allowed for all nine of the private office pod’s to be positioned around the perimeter – providing pod user’s with natural daylight and creating a visual flow throughout the entire office.
Defining the different space’s through the use of texture and colour began to become apparent the more we absorbed the space. We began to lean towards green as the dominant colour together with blue tone’s to reflect the Prothena brand, using a neutral grey as a base throughout.
