In September 2016 Space & Solutions completed a 7,200 sqft refit for Gattaca at the Cottons Centre, London.

The brief for the new Gattaca office was focused on bringing together two of the key group businesses; Matchtech the UK’s number one engineering recruitment specialist and Networkers a top five technology recruitment expert. The new Gattaca brand identity was to be key in establishing a new structure for the global business and creating a fresh collaborative attitude to the flagship office. The project was completed by Space within the agreed six week programme, after a detailed pitch and design development process.

The large fifth floor space required a formal reception space for visitors that promoted the professionalism of the Gattaca brand, however equal importance was given to the staff workspace with a training room and open plan work area being given the primary views from the Southbank. New ways of working including vibrant meeting booths, touch down bench, huddle point and town hall space were included to provide valuable interactive spaces away from the buzz of the busy sales floor. Space introduced a brick back drop, bold graphic statements and upbeat furniture choices to give staff an environment that met the Gattaca workstyle. With visitors from other businesses and Gattaca locations encouraged to stay and work from the office, a relaxed sociable environment that would build lasting relationships was high on the agenda.

Neil Wills, Gattaca Global Facilities Manager says of his experience working with the Space team, ‘We found this project very easy. I think you hit us as a company at the right time and the right place. You understood us and the marketing team…..None of us knew what the Gattaca brand was, Space have helped us discover that and enhanced it. You have helped us discover what Gattaca looks like.’
