Alexandria Real Estate – San Francisco
M Moser Associates has designed the offices of real estate company Alexandria Real Estate, located in San Francisco, California.
Alexandria Real Estate is an urban office Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) uniquely focused on world-class collaborative science and technology campuses in AAA innovation cluster locations.
This 6,900 SF renovation and reconfiguration began with conversations around how to design a workplace to better support the needs of the staff and appeal to the firm’s tech-based clientele.
Through extensive collaboration with the client, we re-planned a unique triangular shaped office space, crafting it to be more open and collaborative. An ‘environment of choice’ was created, providing a variety of work settings for people to choose from. A mix of collaborative settings – fireplace lounge, library, café – were reinterpreted from residential space types. A layered arrival and entry experience reflects their brand and creates a welcoming area that didn’t exist before. The new workplace has enabled people to talk to each other and hang out more, encouraging people to work differently and more collaboratively.
