Oliver James Associates Offices – Manchester
Penketh Group designed the new offices for specialist recruiting firm Oliver James Associates, located in Manchester, England.
Oliver James Associates contacted Penketh Group – Steelcase dealer for the North-West, to discuss their requirements for some new furniture, however after sharing knowledge and insights into workplace design they were invited to tender to supply the furniture for the companies new head office.
After a competitive tender processes, Penketh Group were the partner of choice for furnishing the workspace that spanned two floors and housed 120 workers in Manchester’s popular Spinningfield district.
Working alongside a leading interior design and fit-out company, the project included an inviting welcoming space that created a lasting first impression for visitors. The state of the art workcafe provides a range of seating and table options, perfect for encouraging rejuvenation and social interaction between colleagues. With a lack of collaborative spaces proving a frustration for many companies, the workcafes provides a practical solution by offering a range of informal meeting spaces outside of busy lunch periods.
The open plan office space has been designed with comfort and space optimization in mind, with FrameOne Bench Desks from Steelcase and ergonomic Gesture Chairs to ensure the comfort of all workers.
Informal collaborative areas have been added for quick ‘away for your desk’ meetings with colleagues, giving the perfect balance alongside the more traditional, formal boardroom and meeting spaces which are furnished with uniquely shaped Lano meeting tables by Orangebox. The soft vase shape ensures that everyone in a meeting can easily see the screens and contribute to discussions equally, keeping collaboration at the core off all meetings.
