  • Accenture, a leading global professional services company, is committed to integrating sustainability into its operations and client services. The new Sustainability Hub office in the Philippines exemplifies this dedication, designed as a walkthrough journey showcasing Accenture’s sustainability credentials. The office highlights the company’s achievements, promotes eco-friendly practices, and aims to enhance employee and client engagement through a sustainable and innovative environment.

The primary challenges in creating the Sustainability Hub involved refurbishing the office space to align with sustainability goals, using environmentally friendly materials, and ensuring a flexible, multi-functional design. It was essential to incorporate energy-efficient equipment and digital elements to underscore Accenture’s IT expertise. Additionally, the project aimed to reuse furniture and materials wherever possible to minimise waste and reduce the need for new resources.

The office refurbishment emphasised sustainability by using recycled, upcycled, and reused materials. Key design elements include an entrance area featuring the Accenture logo made from 100% recycled low-value plastic waste that was collected and recovered from river clean-ups, from community waste drives and from industrial waste. The pantry area boasts refurbished ceilings and floors, reused chairs with backrests, and energy-efficient equipment, creating a comfortable space where employees can also work.

The work area is a multi-purpose space with reused chairs and tables, recycled carpet, and acoustic wall panels made from Oriented Strand Board (OSB) materials. The wall design incorporates LED TVs to showcase sustainability initiatives, with sliding metal covers to conceal the TVs when not in use. Additionally, the work area features shelves with LED TVs, branding designs, and open displays for credentials and awards.

The branding wall features a moss wall and the Accenture logo made from reused wood floor planks. This greenery benefits employees by creating a more pleasant environment. Meanwhile, the photo wall includes a Philippine map made from upcycled used keyboard and OSB panels.

The overall theme is futuristic and technology-driven, enhancing the aesthetic appeal while promoting sustainability. The design supports Accenture’s commitment to environmental conservation, creating a unique and immersive experience for visitors, clients, and employees.
