Iconic Engineering Consultancy transformed Schneider Electric’s Egypt headquarters into a LEED Gold-certified innovative workspace in New Cairo, emphasizing digital, sustainable design for employee collaboration and productivity.
Schneider Electric’s headquarters in Egypt, completed in 2022, earned the LEED Gold ID+C V4 certification from USGBC, marking the completion of a landmark project that serves as the MENA region HQ in New Cairo. This project represents a full transformation of the building’s work environment, showcasing Schneider Electric’s commitment to expanding operations and enhancing workplace efficiency through innovative, fully digital spaces. It has been recognized as the workplace of the future in Egypt.
The building spans seven floors with a total area of 12,000 m² and is designed to accommodate over 800 employees, along with all necessary services. This comprehensive fit-out project involved meticulous design development in various aspects, including interior design, exterior aesthetics, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems. ICONIC Engineering Consultancy oversaw these services, providing site supervision and project management to ensure the highest standards were maintained throughout the construction process.
Schneider Electric’s vision for their new office space is to create a creative and engaging environment that promotes collaboration and enhances employee productivity. This includes implementing the latest Schneider Electric products to control and enhance the building through the EcoStruxure system and sustainability control. Recognizing the crucial role of workspace design in influencing employee satisfaction and performance, the company aims to foster an atmosphere that inspires innovation.
