Wecasa Offices – Paris
Morning transformed 1,300 square-meters of neutral space in Paris into Wecasa’s dynamic new offices, seamlessly integrating reused elements and vibrant design to foster collaboration and team spirit among its workforce.
As part of its move to the heart of Montmartre, Wecasa chose Morning to design and fit out new offices for its 120-strong workforce.
For this project, the visions of Wecasa and Morning in favour of re-use naturally converged. As a result, the furniture used in Wecasa’s previous offices is now used on both floors of the new offices. Furniture already on the premises, given by the previous occupants, has also been retained and incorporated into the space planning. A few new furnishings and decorative elements complete the ensemble, including 4 phoneboxes.
Morning has gone one step further in its reuse strategy, removing Wecasa’s old kitchen and installing it in the new premises. A second existing kitchen was also transferred to another floor of Wecasa, to better distribute the flow during breaks and lunch. A shower has been created to improve the comfort of the most sporty employees.
Spread over two floors, it was important for Wecasa’s employees to have a single large space for lunch, so that they could meet up and mix teams. Several lounge areas have also been integrated into the floors to encourage socialising.
The walls and window surrounds now feature bright colours that blend perfectly with the warmth of the brick walls and parquet flooring. Wecasa’s former neon lights have been reinstalled in the new offices, to give the space an extra boost. Tailor-made signage, new light fittings and the addition of numerous plants complete the layout, which has been thought through down to the smallest detail.
In just two months, Morning transformed this neutral space of over 1,300 m2 into a dynamic, tailor-made working environment that reflects Wecasa’s DNA.
