Abel Design Group transformed the Continental Realty Group office in Denver into a modern, functional space, blending comfort and client engagement with thoughtful design elements like a central core and creative detailing.
Continental Realty Group’s new third-floor office in historic downtown Littleton is a full renovation of an outdated suite into a modern, private-office layout designed for comfort, functionality, and client engagement. Abel Design Group opened the kitchen into a lounge setting, created a central core with ADA restrooms, and added a new executive boardroom and coffee bar to support entertaining. Unique features include a long-span steel kitchen island, walnut louvered entry screen, custom wall graphics, panel-faced appliances, and layered lighting over a dark green exposed ceiling.
The design team reused existing walls and doors wherever possible and incorporated strategic value engineering, such as simplifying security systems, refreshing restrooms instead of full upgrades, and substituting more affordable field lighting to preserve decorative selections. Challenges included low ceiling clearances, solar glare on exterior windows, and the need to balance acoustical privacy with visual openness. Through efficient planning and creative detailing, the result is a bright, sophisticated workspace that reflects the company’s culture while staying on budget.
