Trevisan Offices – Sao Paulo
Giuliana Mora Arquitetura’s Trevisan Offices in São Paulo artfully transforms a 1980s building into a vibrant educational and professional hub, seamlessly blending collaborative spaces with natural elements to enhance user.
Trevisan | Business School’s new headquarters is located in a 1980s office building in São Paulo, Brazil. The project was born from a concrete need: to create a physical space where a predominantly digital company could welcome students, teachers, and staff with the same quality of experience it already offered online. Within just 170 sqm, the brief called for a classroom for 30 students, workstations for 15 employees, a meeting room, and a café area — all in harmony, and all expressing the brand’s new visual identity.
The windows were our starting point. Two long rows of openings run along the sides of the floor plate and guided every decision in the project. Along them, we created large planters that double as benches — on one side, the furniture follows the path from the café to the classroom, where the seats themselves become bleachers for lectures; on the other, lush vegetation brings a sense of wellbeing to those working nearby. This continuous gesture connects interior to exterior, draws natural light into the heart of the plan, and organically defines the different uses of the space.
At the entrance, a volume suspended from the ceiling marks the arrival and anchors the brand’s logo. Inside, this element houses the meeting room — sheltered from the flow of circulation, yet connected to the landscape through a large glass panel facing the windows and the gardens. At the center of the floor, a large green table invites both staff and students to make the space their own. To the left, the classroom; to the right, the more private workstations. Behind the table, a dark wood millwork unit organizes the office, stores students’ belongings, and screens the bathroom area.
The result is an environment where students and employees share the same space fluidly — an office that is also a school, and a school that works as an office.
