Confidential Global Nutrition Company Headquarters – Istanbul
Studio 13 Architects’ design for a global nutrition company’s Istanbul headquarters masterfully intertwines the company’s global narrative with Turkish cultural identity, creating a nurturing workplace through organic forms, sustainable materials, and rich storytelling elements.
A Symbolic Narrative
Inspired by the enduring values of nourishment, care, and global presence of the “Confidential Global Nutrition Company”, this design narrative forms a symbolic and physical bridge between Istanbul’s two continents through two office buildings—both thoughtfully crafted by our team.
The guiding metaphor, the Tree of Good Life, merges the company’s global identity with the deep cultural resonance of the Turkish Tree of Life, a symbol of balance, connection, and continuity.
Organic forms, natural materials, and biomorphic structures shape the spatial experience, while storytelling walls and product-inspired textures highlight the company’s global journey. The “nest,” both emblem and metaphor, becomes a recurring design element: a safe, nourishing, and human-centered workplace.
Orjin Plaza – The Headquarters
Situated in Istanbul’s financial district, the Orjin Plaza headquarters reflects heritage, maturity, and permanence. Carefully selected materials convey sophistication and long-term vision. Here, the company’s story unfolds through curated visual narratives—from early brand communications to significant milestones in its expansion within Türkiye. Corporate memory, achievements, and the diversity of the company’s portfolio are celebrated, fostering pride and belonging.
A dedicated Store and Customer Engagement Center extend the brand experience, seamlessly blending workplace with visitor-focused interaction.
Design Principles
The project is guided by principles that respond to the evolving needs of the modern workplace while honoring the company’s cultural footprint. Ergonomic and flexible spaces foster wellbeing and productivity, while sustainability and reuse strategies minimize environmental impact.
A glocal design language bridges global standards with local culture, creating inclusive, people-centered environments where everyone feels valued. Material storytelling inspired by natural ingredients—such as cocoa, milk, and coffee—adds a sensory link to the company’s core product categories.
Collectively, these principles transform the workplace into a modern habitat where wellbeing, identity, and legacy converge.
Cultural Layering
The Turkish Tree of Life—a symbol of growth and harmony—provides the cultural backbone of the design. Within this interpretation, the office becomes the trunk, while its people flourish as the leaves and fruits.
Reception areas function as welcoming hubs, setting the tone for openness and connection. Meeting rooms reflect the personality of different product families, each offering a distinct atmosphere for teamwork.
Collaboration zones, private phone booths, wellness corners, and carefully designed kitchenettes enhance comfort and productivity, ensuring a holistic office experience.
The Workplace Experience
This project is not only about design—it is about creating a holistic workplace habitat. By weaving together sustainability, cultural identity, ergonomics, and layered storytelling, it shapes an environment where work and wellbeing exist in harmony.
The outcome is a workplace that nurtures productivity, strengthens corporate culture, and adapts to the evolving demands of modern work—an ecosystem of growth, care, and belonging.
