Davis Furniture releases Disc
Inspired by the Ginkgo Wire Lounge and Table collection, Disc by German design duo, jehs+laub, is a new seating series for Davis Furniture that is comprised of ottomans and stools available in lounge, counter and bar height. The idea for Disc began with combining the Ginkgo Wire collection’s geometric base silhouette with simple upholstered forms. The goal was to provide designers with a complimentary product with a subtle disposition that further expands the established Ginkgo design story.
The unique geometric base of the Ginkgo Wire Table has been an eye-catching favorite since its release in 2018. Coordinating with the expansion of the Ginkgo Wire Table collection to include new shapes and sizes, Disc was born of a desire to develop complementary seating options for the Ginkgo Wire line and to explore more of what this unique design could be.
Pairing the complex base design with the simple disc shape created a collection that is lightweight in scale and proportion while maintaining an eye-catching element to bring visual intrigue to a variety of interiors.
