PokerStars – London Offices
The world’s largest poker site, PokerStars, recently expanded their London presence with the help of Area Sq.
PokerStars, the world’s largest online poker room, wanted to add a dramatic new poker area to the Hippodrome Casino, the world-famous listed building in London’s Leicester Square. The challenge was to create a design to complement this building and provide a template for future venues. Part of the brief was to collaborate with MKV Design, a specialist leisure and hospitality design firm.
The new registration desk with improved lighting and signage create a dramatic entrance. Inside the main arena, an armour panel-effect light-box installation provides a stunning scrolling light show. To enhance the player experience, live sports footage is now screened throughout the casino. Following this project, we handled the rebrand and fit-out of The Diamond Rooms – the private poker rooms at this venue.
