As far as layout in concerned, the design locates the team in one main area with the conference, casual, and kitchen directly connected. The conference room has whiteboard walls which allow employees to have a large space to collaborate. Where the excellent brick walls exist, glass panels have been provided. The kitchen looks fantastic as well.
One of my favorite design elements are the lighting fixtures in the main team area – they not only look great, but provide ample light coverage to supplement the natural light from the windows.
While many of the offices we feature are extreme in their styling – minimal, raw, etc… – I appreciate the balance of styles in the MediaCore office that work together to create a warm and comfortable environment.
A few additional details from the designer:
“My mandate was to create a space that was open, collaborative, friendly and vibrant, with comfortable hang out spaces and plenty of room to grow. We also had a conservative budget, so careful thought went into selecting simple finishes and playing up the whimsy with the decor and vintage accents. The result is an eclectic space that reflects the company’s ethos, and effectively puts the team in a positive and productive state of mind each and every day.”
