Inside Konami’s Windsor Offices
Area Sq has recently designed and fit out a new office space for global video game developer Konami. Located in Windsor, UK, the office gives Konami a fresh design for the company to call home.
“Konami, the global home video game developer, publisher and manufacturer wanted to relocate from Chiswick to Leworth House (8,000 sq ft) and Morgan House (6,000 sq ft) in Windsor. Their new offices also needed to accommodate staff from the Frankfurt office who were relocating and staff visiting from overseas including Japan and the US.
Alex Marrs, Area Sq Designer, comments, “With Konami and Windsor’s town planners, we delivered a quintessentially English feel to the office design, in-keeping with Windsor’s traditional heritage and the conservation area. We also incorporated Konami’s playful brand identity and reaffirmed their keen stance on employee wellbeing.
Life-size action figures and wall graphics in-line with their gaming products, such as Metal Gear Solid, were included which injected colour, life and fun into the scheme, making the space their own. The office fit-out included fully integrated audio visual and video conferencing facilities, meeting suites as well as a ‘pub-style’ breakout space.
Area Sq’s sister company, Sketch Studios, created the designer furniture package.”
