Waldmann Lighting’s Singapore Regional Headquarters
Siren Design has recently completed the office design for the Singapore RHQ of Waldmann Lighting, a German manufacturer of lighting solutions for Architecture, Industry and Medicine.
“The office located in a shophouse at the heart of the Central Business District provides Waldmann with an open working showroom. Drawing inspiration from galleries and museums, the design approach was to create a functional “place of show” as opposed to a “show-room” for the many product ranges within the Waldmann portfolio. The Studio is minimalist in its look and feel so as to allow the focus to remain on the products when they are shown to clients, with all lighting as part of the working studio rather than purposely on display. Different areas within the Studio are delineated by the use of the lowered ceiling and lighting fixtures, to enhance the functionality of the studio as well as showcasing the products.
One of the main focal points in the studio is the collaborative workbench by Herman Miller, which cleverly integrates the Waldmann products. The meeting room furniture and task chairs from German Manufacturer Wilkhahn emphasise the high quality and aesthetically beautiful fixtures that Waldmann associate with. Connecting the workspace, meeting room and pantry is a collaborative gallery space for casual meetings which feature an over scaled graphic interpretation of one of Waldmann’s signature light fittings. The space is warm, inviting, collaborative and a pure joy to be in.”
