Benefit Cosmetics – Chelmsford Offices
Spacio worked intensively with Benefit Cosmetics for over 6 months to design their new UK HQ in the historic grade 2 listed Marconi Building in Chelmsford.
Following the concept and brand design phases a detailed design phase working with Bellway and Chelmsford City Conservation officers Spacio designed the complete working design for the new iconic brand in a historic building – bringing sympathetic design and innovation together to produce an excellent result.
The Marconi building had been neglected and left to squatters and the elements for over 10 years. The task to restore the building to its former glory was a huge undertaking and finally completed in January 2015 after 8 months on site. The building was lightly remodelled, but totally re appointed with new HVAC, M&E before final interior design finishes and furniture were applied by the Spacio projects team.
Benefit Cosmetics fantastic branding style provided some excellent themes and design elements into the project – quite different to the original Victorian architecture, but a triumph of complimentary interior design styling and quality finishing along with technical design innovation to preserve and enhance the character of the building and promote Benefit Cosmetic’s brand identity.
