Enterprise Rent-A-Car’s EMEA Headquarters
Area Sq has designed a new EMEA headquarters for Enterprise Rent-A-Car which consolidates several locations in a single office located in Egham, England.
Previously spread over several locations in Egham and the surrounding area, Enterprise Rent-A-Car has united its workforce within their newly constructed EMEA headquarters on Integra Park, Egham. By incorporating sustainable design elements along with a community engagement programme, Enterprise and Area Sq are proud to have achieved the RICS Ska Rating Gold accreditation.
Ska Rating Gold was achieved in Enterprise’s new EMEA headquarters by incorporating enhanced well-being facilities for staff, diverting 99% of waste from landfill, maximising natural lighting and utilising 80% of recycled and recyclable materials.
As part of a community engagement programme, local business and design students from Strode’s College and Royal Holloway, University of London, were given a tour of the building to gain an in-depth understanding of the building’s sustainability credentials and to learn more about how businesses achieve a Ska Rating Gold.
Area Sq. has created an office environment which will provide staff with enhanced well-being facilities, helping Enterprise retain and attract the very best people. The office has been designed as an open environment with a new feature staircase and multiple training, collaboration and breakout zones, providing staff with inspiring and dynamic working areas.
Gary Chandler, Managing Director at Area Sq comments: “Enterprise’s new Ska Gold rated EMEA HQ is a ground-breaking project in terms of corporate social responsibility. When designing the offices, we focused specifically on being environmentally responsible by promoting the project to the local community and providing training and education to all site workers and subcontractors. We are of course delighted with the Ska Gold rating the project has received, as this was always the end goal we had in mind. We were also very pleased to secure a Bronze 2014 Considerate Constructors Scheme National Site Award.”
