Stantec has designed Airbus‘ Experience Center and Government Affairs Office located in Washington DC.

Prominently located just a few blocks from the US Capitol, Airbus’ new Experience Center and Government Affairs Office provides a showcase of the company’s innovations as well as a state-of-the-art work environment for their government relations group.

Airbus, best known for its popular commercial airplanes, was interested in showcasing its latest product offerings to visiting decision-makers while promoting its identity as an innovative technology company with a US presence. It also needed a space for entertaining and hosting events. The team saw an opportunity to integrate the firm’s greatest asset, its innovative people, by making the workplace itself a key part of the visitor experience. An unusual plan was developed, which leads visitors on a hands-on, technologically advanced, interactive tour of people, products and ideas that make up Airbus.

The result is an architecturally integrated, flexible work-plus-showcase space which utilizes interactive media to appeal to multiple audiences. The goal is to provide visitors with a new perspective on Airbus and a deeper understanding of its role as a leader shaping the future of aerospace and global travel.
