Compass Rose Headquarters – Reston
Architecture, Incorporated was engaged by health benefits group, Compass Rose, to design their headquarters located in Reston, Virginia.
The client’s previous space, closed private offices and neutral finishes, needed to change—they wanted a cultural shift. The resulting 4,700 sf office is open, flexible, and colorful to provide an inviting space. Since many of the staff telecommute, they were able to reduce square footage by designing hoteling stations and lockers.
A variety of seating and teaming areas create spaces for dynamic interactions and drive a desire to come in to the office. The polished industrial concrete floor offsets the refined and geometric finishes, adding a relaxed, artistic quality to the space. Natural wood plank ceilings add warmth, while custom built-in banquettes and millwork, custom graphics, and carpet create the branded environment the client desired.
