Decathlon Offices – Shenzhen
Hauner Architecture recently completed the offices for global outdoor company Decathlon, located in Shenzhen, China.
The Decathlon Shenzhen Office is an essential worldwide hub for the brand. This office is responsible for all industrial innovation and prototyping, as well as purchasing of supply chain goods for Southern China. The space brings research, innovation, and logistics in one location, in the OCT LOFT Shenzhen creative district.
The workspace brings together a sophisticated, interlinked program where collaboration amongst peers and departments is crucial. At the core of the brief was the promotion of employees’ well being. This is achieved both through amenities, such as leisure spaces, a yoga room, and a sports room, as well as through generous openings that show the nature outside. A central tribune takes the center of the space for 120 people – an area used for innovation lectures.
The office is envisioned as highly flexible, letting the interior evolve and adapt over time. For regular staff, 100 work stations are designed to allow for open collaboration. The space can be modified to accommodate up to 200 comfortably.
