Studio 103’s McCormack & Studio 103 head office in Melbourne masterfully combines distinct yet cohesive design elements, fostering both creative collaboration and individual identity through thoughtful materials and spatial understanding.
From a family garage 56 years ago to a long tenure on Hoddle Street, this next move marks an important new chapter for McCormack. A project the entire team is proud of, bringing together two tenancies, McCormack and Studio 103, designed to feel both distinct and connected. A cohesive material palette runs throughout, ensuring a sense of unity while allowing each space to reflect its own identity.
McCormack’s side of the floor embraces a bold hotel-inspired feel, with dark timbers, soft carpets, and a warm, refined atmosphere. In contrast, Studio 103’s workspace is designed with a focus on wellness, featuring a lighter palette and a sense of openness to encourage creativity and collaboration. Carefully considered details, curved bulkheads, natural stone, and tailored lighting, help shape the character of the space, while playful elements like a pool table and VR setup add a dynamic edge.
Delivered by our in-house trade team alongside long-standing subcontractors, the project was a true team effort. Years of working together created a family-like environment on-site, with trusted partners coming together once again to bring the vision to life.
Designed to evolve with us, this new workspace balance’s function and creativity, providing a place for both businesses to grow.
