Kraton Offices – Houston
Abel Design Group’s Kraton offices in Houston redefine the modern workplace with a vibrant, collaborative environment that inspires creativity and enhances productivity, reflecting the needs of a dynamic, post-pandemic workforce.
Kraton, a global leader in specialty polymers and biobased chemicals, sought a transformative shift — not just in location, but in the very essence of how their teams work. Their outdated headquarters no longer supported the evolving needs of a post-pandemic workforce where hybrid schedules, collaboration and engagement had become paramount. The challenge was clear — position Kraton at the forefront of corporate innovation, foster creativity through collaboration AND create a workplace that inspires employees to return to the office.
The result is a sophisticated yet dynamic office environment that redefines the modern workplace. Kraton’s relocation to 9950 Woodloch in The Woodlands — the last available full-floor space in a vibrant, amenity-rich district — marks a deliberate shift from their previous location where the lack of nearby restaurants and gathering spots made it less appealing for employees to return. Now, surrounded by an array of dining, happy hour and entertainment options, the new headquarters seamlessly integrates work and lifestyle by creating an environment that fosters both productivity and connection.
Designed to ignite focus and interaction, the space features a strategic blend of open and private offices, immersive collaboration lounges and cutting-edge conference rooms. Hoteling offices provide flexibility for visiting team members, while a spacious breakroom encourages casual connection. A state-of-the-art recording studio reflects Kraton’s forward-thinking approach — ensuring their teams have the tools to communicate and create at the highest level.
From the moment employees step inside, the space commands attention — an environment meticulously curated to energize, inspire and support the way people want to work today. It’s not just a headquarters — it’s a statement. A bold reimagining of what an office can be.
