CREATE+CO revitalized the Urban Centre Leasing Office and Amenity Spaces in Tampa, merging sophisticated design with a hospitality-driven approach to enhance the tenant experience and connectivity with the vibrant locale.
CREATE+CO partnered with Urban Centre to reposition the dual-tower office campus through a comprehensive renovation of its shared environments. Spanning the leasing office, interior atriums, café, conference and training facilities, fitness center, and outdoor courtyards, the project reimagines the property’s common areas as cohesive, hospitality-driven extensions of the workplace.
Located within the two-building Urban Centre campus, home to luxury hospitality, professional services, and executive offices, the shared environments serve as both a first impression and a reflection of the building’s elevated brand. CREATE+CO approached the renovation through a hospitality-driven lens, pairing warm materiality with clean, modern detailing to create spaces that feel refined, welcoming, and distinctly professional.
The design strategy centered on elevating the overall tenant experience across the campus. Previously underutilized atrium zones were activated with flexible seating groupings, integrated lighting, architectural shade structures, and layered finishes that soften the scale of the surrounding architecture. Transitional areas connecting the buildings and adjacent to the flagship hotel were transformed into intentional places for pause, connection, and informal work.
A former utilitarian deli was fully reimagined as an upscale café environment, complete with an internal ‘sidewalk’ concept, varied dining and lounge seating, and integrated millwork that supports both daily use and social interaction. Adjacent conference and training facilities were expanded and upgraded with enhanced acoustics, integrated technology, and refined finishes to accommodate focused meetings, presentations, and larger campus gatherings.
Wellness and amenity spaces were equally prioritized. The fitness center, locker rooms, and restrooms were modernized with durable yet elevated material selections that balance performance with comfort. As activity extends outdoors, the courtyards were reactivated with structured lounge zones, shaded gazebos, putting greens, and a life-size chessboard, creating vibrant extensions of the interior experience while reinforcing the campus’s connection to Tampa’s climate and lifestyle.
Together, this transformation repositions Urban Centre as a contemporary, amenity-rich workplace destination. By unifying interior and exterior spaces under a cohesive design language, CREATE+CO shaped a layered environment that supports productivity, hospitality, and community in equal measure.
