Siemens Healthineers Offices – Singapore
Siemens Healthineers collaborated with Space Matrix to design a modern, flexible office in Singapore, emphasizing human-centric features, collaboration spaces, and cultural elements to support innovation and well-being.
Innovation isn’t just about cutting-edge technology—it’s about how people work, collaborate, and thrive. Siemens Healthineers has long been a pioneer in healthcare advancements, but as its presence in Singapore grew, its office space lagged behind. The traditional fixed-desk setup with limited collaboration areas no longer supported the agility and flexibility that modern teams needed. Rather than just relocating to a new building, Siemens Healthineers saw an opportunity to completely rethink the workplace—creating a space that fosters connection, embraces hybrid work, and enhances employee well-being.
To bring this vision to life, Siemens Healthineers partnered with Space Matrix, developing a strategy that went beyond aesthetics to redefine how employees engage with their environment. The design focused on four key pillars: human-centric design to enhance well-being and productivity, agility and flexibility to support different work styles, collaboration and innovation to encourage teamwork, and cultural identity to create a strong sense of place. But transformation isn’t just about new furniture—it’s about changing mindsets. Through change management workshops, employees were guided through this shift, ensuring the new space truly reflected their evolving ways of working.
From the moment you step into the office, the experience is designed to inspire. The reception area is sleek yet welcoming, leading visitors seamlessly into two key zones—the Experience Center and the Work Café. The Experience Center is a first-of-its-kind space within Siemens Healthineers Singapore, designed to showcase innovation, host industry events, and provide hands-on training. With flexible layouts, mobile display counters, and advanced AV technology, it offers an immersive, high-tech experience that adapts to different needs.
Recognizing that hybrid work is here to stay, the new office provides employees with the freedom to choose how and where they work. Bookable workstations are tailored for specific teams, balancing storage, collaboration, and privacy. Touchdown seats allow for quick check-ins and brainstorming sessions, while freestanding booths offer a quiet retreat for focused work.
Enclosed meeting rooms—equipped with seamless video conferencing—bridge the gap between remote and in-office teams, making global collaboration effortless. Every element is designed with intention, ensuring that the space supports productivity while fostering a sense of belonging.
Beyond just work, Siemens Healthineers wanted to create a vibrant heart for its office—a place where people could connect, unwind, and celebrate successes. Enter the Work Café: more than just a cafeteria, it’s a dynamic social hub. With movable furniture that adapts for town halls and team events, stepped seating that maximizes space, and private phone booths for quiet conversations, it’s designed for both relaxation and collaboration. Hidden AV elements seamlessly integrate technology without disrupting the warm, inviting aesthetic.
A workplace should do more than function—it should tell a story. Throughout the office, branding and local influences weave together to create an inspiring environment. Tagline backdrops and innovation posters reinforce Siemens Healthineers’ mission, while cultural walkways showcase diverse regional narratives. A striking custom artwork by a Malaysian artist brings a burst of creativity to the Work Café, blending heritage with the company’s cutting-edge identity.
This transformation is more than a design success—it’s a bold step toward the future of work. With a perfect balance of flexibility, collaboration, and innovation, Siemens Healthineers’ new Singapore office is not just a workplace; it’s a statement. A space that energizes its people, strengthens connections, and embodies the company’s mission of pioneering breakthroughs in healthcare. More than just a new address, it’s a reimagined way of working—designed for everyone, everywhere.
