Hugill & Ip Offices – Hong Kong
The design for law firm Hugill & Ip in Hong Kong by Area-17 Architecture & Interiors features a contemporary, calming workspace reflecting trust and transparency values, using local materials and characteristic craftsmanship.
The project, titled Urban Oasis of Trust is the new office for Hugill & Ip, a fast-growing law firm in Hong Kong, completed on June 2025. It embodies a contemporary approach to workspace design, blending functionality with calming aesthetic that reflect the firm’s values of trust and transparency. The space is born from the meeting of local materials and the city’s characteristic craftsmanship: tiles, concrete, metal, with a color palette that recalls Hong Kong’s iconic hues — deep green and warm, enveloping red. The concept, called “Oasis of Trust,” aims to convey a sense of protection, serenity, and confidence to clients, within a space where they can rely on attentive and skilled professionals. The law firm features a relaxed, welcoming, and minimalist atmosphere, where plants, artworks, and filtration systems emit a warm and positive energy.
