Hoyne Design’s Dark, Elegant, and Lovely Studio

  • Client Hoyne Design,
  • Location Melbourne, Australia,
  • Elenberg Fraser has created an elegant design studio for Hoyne Design to call home.

The architect notes that “The Hoyne offices were designed to mirror the branding studio’s own process, which is completely immersive and collaborative – clients literally become a part of the team and the construction of their new identity… Our response was to design a workplace with a series of discrete spaces, which would allow Hoyne staff and clients the opportunities to engage in ways that you may not expect from a typical office fitout. ”

Work areas have an incredibly simple palette meant to maintain focus, though slight orange branding accents can be found throughout. Adjacent to the main work area is a fully featured presentation theater and boardroom space that allows easilt move from room to room.

On the first floor, the office features a functional café space where “staff and clients come together to chat, bounce ideas and stumble across sparks of inspiration.” Upstairs however features a “library of brands” that is cleverly disguised as a fully-stocked bar whose “books” are bottles of the world’s most famous beverage brands, for whom Hoyne design has worked extensively.

“The library is an important space in the office as it represents that move from conceptual to physical and means that reference and research tools are within arm’s reach. The library also contains stock samples, design books and other tools of the trade.”
