TalkTalk’s New London Headquarters

British telecom company TalkTalk has recently moved into a new landmark building to house some 830 employees with the help of the interiors team at Morgan Lovell.

The designers provide the following notes:

“To establish their own identity, the team at TalkTalk wanted to move their head office away from sister company Carphone Warehouse. That meant fitting out a huge landmark building for 830 people.

But that’s not all. The office had to be sustainable and to BREEAM standards.

“Sustainability’s not our speciality and we looked for advice,” said our client at TalkTalk. “With Morgan Lovell it was right from day one. Everything we did had an environmental issue.”

Our designs used sustainable materials and we included extra sustainable measures wherever we could.

In the end, we reduced waste to landfill by 92%, incorporated a huge sub-metering programme using 24 wireless sub-meters to monitor gas, electricity and even water usage, and used FSC and PEFC timber – making it the first UK project where this wood was used extensively for both flooring and joinery.”
