“In relocating its office in Hong Kong, New Balance sought to increase interaction and meeting spaces. The design focused on reinforcing their branding and retail concepts within a corporate office environment.

Given a need for increased meeting space, meeting rooms were placed near the client area and along the core, providing 100% of the working space with external views and daylight.  This design feature also allowed for maximum display space in the internal showrooms with easy access from the reception area. Breakout room, with multiple seating options, is located close to the center of the building providing easy access for all.  The space promotes greater interaction and informal group discussions.

A series of angled walls, resembling the shape of the New Balance logo, are used throughout creating a feeling of movement.  Some walls were cut short from the ceiling, revealing layers of space beyond and expanding the feel of space throughout. The main colors utilized were white, black and grey with the New Balance red as the feature color. Concrete logo walls and floors along with walls cladded in salvaged wood from old ships were used to create raw textures, which reinforces New Balance’s retail concept.”
