Inside PERQ’s Collaborative and Energetic Offices
PERQ is a marketing technology company based in Indianapolis who recently renovated and redesigned its 30,000 sqft office in an effort support and create collaboration, creativity, and energy.
PERQ just completed a lengthy re-design of nearly its entire 30,000 square foot building. With more than 2,000 square feet of white and blackboard space, the building is now equipped for collaboration and innovation. But, it’s also equipped for fun, too. The office includes a custom scooter track for swift transportation between the building’s 13 meeting/collaboration spaces. There’s also an IU-themed Big Head wall as the backdrop to the basketball hoop in the game room, as well as a custom bar. Several spaces include wall skins, one of which is a custom art installation made of more than 1,500 employee-submitted photos.
“Our collaboration space is meant for breakout sessions, meeting, or breaks away from cubicle life. It supports up to five meetings at a time for groups as small as 2 or as large as 10. Anchored by a 30 foot tall chalkboard, and supported by movable a/v carts & whiteboards, this space is a favorite for brainstorming sessions.
Through games like Ping Pong, darts, or a game of H-O-R-S-E, we are able to relax through activity and sport. Competitive greatness is our culture, both when we’re working and when we’re taking a break. This room includes: Half court, Ping Pong, Air Hockey, Foosball, Darts, and Video games.
Unlike many employee gyms, we went a little further than a few treadmills. Our gym has plenty of equipment. We see pretty heavy use in the afternoons and weekends. This room includes: Treadmills, Elliptical, Strength Machines, Free Weights, Locker Rooms, and Showers.
Our bar/meeting space is a go-to location for individuals who want to work away from their desk. With chilled beverages, and a dry erase countertop, it is perfect for working through that creative block you may have had from sitting at your desk too long. During events, this bar features craft beer on tap.”
PERQ’s co-founders say they wanted to re-design the building in order to support employees and create an atmosphere that stimulates creativity, energy and collaboration.
