SEIU’s New Chicago Offices
Wight & Company has designed a new office space for employee service union SEIU located in Chicago, Illinois.
SEIU is an employee service union representing home health care, nursing home and child care for over 85,000 workers in Illinois and Indiana. Following a merger of three unions, SEIU HC needed to find a new headquarters (70,000 sf) to house their new organization. Wight and CBRE assisted SEIU in the extensive search for the “right” building to carry their brand identity forward. Wight provided programming, test-fits, building due diligence, lease and work letter reviews. Final negotiations depended on pre-design sketches for new entry and canopy, modifications to the building for a new 300-person Member Hall, scope narratives for base building features.
