Corio’s New Offices in Madrid
3g office has completed the design of a new office space in Madrid for Corio, a Dutch property and shopping centre management firm.
The new headquarters, located in a protected building from the point of view of heritage, required a complete renovation to transform a former nightclub in offices. The resulting 1,200m2 premises should conform to the requirements of a BREEAM building and the use and traceability of materials as well as the presence of natural lighting were important in the solution and project validation.
For the development of this flexible office, elements that allowed creating a readily identifiable space with the workplace were borrowed from other environments, such as domestic and industrial. For example, a bookstore and a container.
The space was provided with lockers, value-added areas and meeting rooms to give it the use options necessary to implement flexible office criteria. Even employees created a triptych to transmit the rules of the new offices.
The commitment has been to create an image according to the slogan that defines the Corio shopping centres: “The Favourite meeting place”.
