  • Trifle Creative has developed a new office design in London for music and media agency AEI Media.

The young vibrant agency AEI Media approached Trifle Creative for help with their first ever office purchase in the Autumn of 2013. It was a big move, and they wanted an office space that reflected their personality and requirements as well as being a great investment.

The space was already fitted out in a very traditional way with lots of individual offices, low ceiling tiles and an odd galley kitchen in the corridor. The workspace was just not functional for a modern media agency’s needs. So, after much head bashing and trying to work with what was there, the conclusion was made to ‘rip it up and start again’. So that’s what happened.

The whole space was opened up, creating working zones for all the various requirements – working/meeting/mixing/thinking/socialising. Exposing the concrete ceiling and all service pipes gave more height and drama to the space and suited the building style. To add warmth and texture, one of the walls was clad floor to ceiling with reclaimed wood. Industrial style lighting was added to compliment the design and ensure good ambient coverage and add warmth to the meeting areas. A modern but homely and colourful kitchen/cafe area was created which works brilliantly as an informal meeting & social area. The highlight for visiting guests and employee’s though, must be a ‘hidden snug’ room including a secret door within a bookcase that leads into the mixing studio for resident and visiting DJs. The new workspace is fun, collaborative and creative, perfectly encompassing the business and employees needs.
