  • Tech-centric coworking space Dogpatch Labs has moved into a new office space located in Dublin.

Dogpatch Labs is a pay to play co-working space for scaling technology startups. It is a 13,000sq. ft. unit located in the heart of the Dublin Docklands in the iconic CHQ Building , formerly a bonded storehouse for wine and tobacco and host to the Crimean War Banquet. The space was.

Timber wine boxes were used for shelving, repurposed postal tubes stacked together were used to make a meeting room, reclaimed timber for making furniture, and salvaged ventilation turbines for coffee tables. These materials sit nicely with the old red brick walls of the storehouse, while workers are offered views out to the sophisticated steel roof structure. The feeling of new and old resonates throughout the building and tells a number of stories through its layered history. The next phase is to expand the offices downstairs to the vaults beneath which were historically used for storing wine. The structure of these is of stone and brick and are formed as groin and arched vaults, and it is an opportunity to open a part of “hidden Dublin” that is rarely seen.
